A 10-week, instructor-led Rebuild Challenge that adapts the discipline of traditional karate to the realities of the 40+ professional: joints that need respect, schedules that need structure, and a mind that craves focus.
Limited mats per cohort to keep instruction precise and controlled.
Monday & Wednesday evenings · 75-minute sessions · 10 weeks
Engineered for men and women 40–65 who want strength, stability, and sharper focus—without compromising joints or work the next day.
We review each application to keep the group aligned in goals, experience, and safety.
Traditional karate emphasizes alignment, breathing, and precise technique. In the Rebuild Challenge, we adapt these principles to protect joints, rebuild posture, and restore confidence for men and women in their 40s, 50s, and early 60s.
You learn to generate power through stance, hip rotation, and breath—not through speed or collisions. Every technique has an articulated safe range and purpose.
Karate stances and basic kata challenge your legs, core, and back to work together, improving balance and posture in ways that carry directly into daily life and sport.
The dojo becomes a focused, device-free environment where you decompress, sharpen attention, and practice staying calm under pressure—skills that translate directly to the office and at home.
Each week builds deliberately on the last. We progress stance, strikes, and partner work only when your technique, breathing, and control are in place. No rush, no bravado—just disciplined advancement.
We begin with movement screening, joint-friendly mobility work, and the foundational stances and guard positions. You leave understanding how to protect your knees, back, and shoulders in every drill.
You learn straight punches and basic blocks with emphasis on alignment, hand conditioning, and safe range. All work is done on pads and air first—no uncontrolled contact.
You start linking techniques: stance transitions, basic combinations, and intro kata. We emphasize smooth movement, joint-friendly pivots, and consistent guard recovery.
You move into light, highly-structured partner drills that focus on timing and distance—not force. Safety language and stop protocols are built into every interaction.
You integrate everything into a short kata and controlled partner work, with dedicated time for breath work, recovery strategies, and a clear plan to continue training beyond the Challenge.

The Rebuild Challenge is not a fight club. It is a disciplined, respect-driven environment where professionals can train hard and walk into work the next morning clear-headed and uninjured.
You will be challenged. You will sweat. But you will also be seen, coached, and protected by a method built around longevity—not short-term intensity.
This program is ideal if you:
If you are currently managing a significant injury, we recommend a brief consultation before reserving a spot so we can determine the safest path forward.
Real experiences from men and women who stepped onto the mat after 40—and discovered that serious training and a demanding career can reinforce each other.
“I’m a 48-year-old litigation partner. I can’t show up to court bruised. The Rebuild Challenge gave me the intensity and focus I’d been missing, but with a level of control and respect for my body that I haven’t seen in any other program.”
Daniel, 48 · Attorney
“I came in with a history of knee issues and a lot of hesitation. The way the instructors cued stance and alignment has me moving better at 55 than I did at 35. I’m stronger, my balance is better, and my back pain has decreased noticeably.”
Maya, 55 · Consultant
“What surprised me most was how much calmer I am at work. The same techniques we use to keep our guard up under pressure on the mat apply directly to managing a team and tough conversations in the office.”
André, 42 · Product Director
If you’re considering the Rebuild Challenge, it’s normal to have questions about injuries, fitness level, and time commitment. Here are clear, direct answers.
Most participants are either complete beginners or returning to training after a long break. The Rebuild Challenge is built around a shared beginner curriculum with clear, controlled progressions. You’ll be challenged at your level, not pushed into techniques your body isn’t ready for.
Many of our 40+ participants train while managing old knee, shoulder, or back issues. We screen for red flags in week 1, offer stance and range modifications, and avoid chaotic drills. If you’re cleared for moderate physical activity by your physician, we can usually adapt the work to you.
There is no free sparring in the Rebuild Challenge. You will work with partners in highly-structured drills focused on timing, distance, and control, with clear contact rules. The emphasis is on technical development and confidence, not on winning rounds.
You’ll attend two 75-minute in-person sessions each week, plus an optional 10–15 minutes of at-home movement and breath drills on non-training days. The entire program runs for 6 weeks.
In week 10, we review your progress and outline clear next steps. Many participants continue into our ongoing 40+ karate program, while others repeat the Rebuild Challenge once more to deepen fundamentals with a familiar structure.
We intentionally limit each cohort to maintain a serious, attentive training environment. Share a few details below, and our team will follow up with next steps and logistics.
